Qualified projects will be screened by the panel to select projects for the preliminary round.

Malaysia Preliminary Round (TAR UMT, Malaysia, July 2025)
June 15-August 15, 2025 TBC
The preliminary round road show will be conducted in groups both online and on site in Beijing, Suzhou, Shenzhen, Berlin (Germany), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Hanoi (Vietnam). For those who cannot make it on site should participate in the online video link session.

Pitch Session Agenda
8:30 AM: Official commencement of the competition’s on-site activities
8:30–9:00 AM: Opening ceremony of the competition
Proposed 20-minute speeches by invited leaders (such as representatives from Nanning Science and Technology Bureau, the Embassy of China in Malaysia, etc.)
10-minute announcement of competition schedule, rules, and regulations
9:00–11:00 AM: On-site and online project presentations (roadshows) by competition participants
11:30–12:00 PM: Preliminary round summary session
II. Additional Arrangements
A. Mode of Participation
A physical roadshow will be held in Malaysia; an online participation channel will be available for those unable to attend in person.
B. On-site Pitch Session Arrangement
1. Pitching and Q&A:
Online and offline sessions will be conducted.
Each project will have 15 minutes (8-minute presentation + 7-minute Q&A)
2. Summary and Ranking:
Final rankings will be announced based on judges' scores
3. Language Requirement:
Pitching and Q&A will be conducted in English (or Chinese).

Ms. Cathryn Lai is the founder of Catfish Consulting and a certified management consultant with over 18 years of experience. She is a PhD candidate in Psychology and a published writer with contributions to major Chinese media and The Entrepreneur magazine.
Founder of DIGIFIV
Ms. Fion Lee is a digital and AI expert with 24 years of experience across strategy, design, and implementation. She led partner strategy for ASEAN at Alibaba Cloud and has held key roles at Microsoft, Dell, and other tech firms.
She now serves as an AI Advisory Member for Malaysia’s National AI Office (NAIO) and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
